Step 3 - Weight and Height

Step 3 involves measuring the child's weight and height. Use the centile quick reference tables in the screening tool to determine the centile difference between weight versus height.

The example below is based on a 5 year old girl who weighs 14.5kg and is 113cm tall.

The child's weight is in the 2^nd centile and her height is in the 75^th centile which is more than a 3 centile difference and therefore, a score of 3 is assigned for this step.
